The opening event of the exposition „Kosak Mamai“ took place in the Theater Academy Cologne yesterday evening.
This was a great occation to learn more about the Ukrainian culture. Special thanks go to Robert Christott, the director of the Theaterakadmie Köln for his warm welcome and pleasant atmosphere. And a heartily welcome also to
- Pia Stutzenstein,
- Selin Nietzsche,
- Nour Al,
- Anke Bauer,
- Jacqueline Haid,
- Christian Walther,
- Praet Pitt,
as well as
- Hans Moerter (Lutherkirche Köln),
- Caren Klaschka (Photographer),
- Simone Wechlser (Secretary of the Theater Academy)
And all other guest, we didn’t mention here.
We heard directly from Rostyslav Bome, a former student of the Theater Academy, how the people on Maidan organised themselves with the common goal to create a new Ukraine. The members of our organisation United World Organisation are also united through common goals and Rostyslav’s experiences can help us to reach our goals.
The working title for our first project is „Streetkids“.
Because of Robert’s initiative, we collected 36,25 Euros donations – a good start! The money goes directly on our donation account.
The students are interested in active work and discussed concret actions and propositions. To make communication easier, we founded a side and a group on facebook. We are planning the next meeting for next Monday to talk about the next steps.
Together we can achieve everything!
